The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) issued proceedings from the Topical Scientific Workshop on Regulatory Challenges in the Risk Assessment of Nanomaterials, which was held on the 23rd – 24th October 2014 in Helsinki.



The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has published the following documents in its  Series on the Safety of Manufactured Nanomaterials


This week, the United Kingdom's Health and Safety Laboratory, a division of the Health and Safety Executive, issued a report assessing how employees encounter airborne nanomaterials during their manufacture, handling and use, as well as the steps companies are taking to ensure safe exposure rates. 


The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has published risk assessment test recommendations for nanomaterials based off the results of in-vitro testing of six nanomaterials as a part of a recent study in PLOS One. The study was conducted as part of the FP7-MARINA project.



This month, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued final guidance on nanomaterial applications in animal feed in a publication, Use of Nanomaterials in Food for Animals(link is external).
