In the framework of the Regulation on Cosmetic Products 1223/2009, the European Commission Directorate General for the Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROWTH) has published calls for information on the following nanomaterials used as ingredients in cosmetics: Colloidal silver (nano),  Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer (Nano),Sodium Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer (Nano).

 

DG GROWTH invites stakeholders to provide relevant safety information on the safety of these three substances, in particular data regarding all toxicological endpoints and an indication on the suggested concentration safe limits for these ingredients. The European Commission will close the three calls for data on 30 June 2015.
